Kelly Clarkson returned to "American Idol" to perform "Don't You Wanna Stay" with country star Jason Aldean on Thursday night's elimination show.Clarkson, 28, who won the first season of "American Idol" appeared on-stage in a fitted black dress and sang the song with a smile on her face. The singer also got called out on the show for revealing her current "American Idol" crush on Twitter earlier in the month.

"I might have a bit of a crush on Casey [Abrams] on American Idol this season," Clarkson Tweeted on April 6. "He's super cute and obviously super talented. Great job tonight man!"Naturally, Ryan Seacrest didn't waste any time bringing up the singer's Tweets, saying, "It's a very short results show, I've got to get right to it." Clarkson replied, "Just like a man," which got a laugh from the crowd.

Clarkson also said of Abrams on Thursday's show, "He's certainly delicious. He's cute."On Friday, Clarkson revealed on Facebook that she is actually rooting for a different "American Idol" contestant.

The 18-year-old, who left an unnamed Chicago-based facility in January after being admitted in November, has already revealed she was treated for an eating disorder in the clinic and she has now admitted her parents were so worried about her mental health they staged an intervention to make her confront her problems, reports contactmusic.com.

"I basically had a nervous breakdown. My parents and manager pulled me aside and said, 'You need to get some help.' It was an intervention. I wanted freedom from the inner demons. I wanted to start my life over," she said..

"I allow myself a lot of freedom and I'm very peaceful now. I have come to realise that just making yourself happy is most important. Never be ashamed of what you feel. You have the right to feel any emotion that you want, and to do what makes you happy. That's my life motto," she added.
